Sophia was born 20 September 1934 in Rome, Italy. She has one sister and two half-brothers. 1951 movie Quo Vadis launched her career. Loren appeared in countless popular movies, including Two Nights with Cleopatra, The Gold of Naples, It Started in Naples and Sunflower.
She married Carlo Ponti in 1957; the couple divorced in 1962, but remarried in 1966. She had two sons named Edoardo and Carlo.
