Melissa Gilbert turns 50 in a short while, but you wouldn’t be able to guess by looking. She’s a beautiful woman, and always has been, but at her age, people have to ask whether or not she’s had some help to look as she does. There are a number of rumors regarding whether or not she’s had surgery, and she’s not coming out to comment on whether or not she’s turned to cosmetic operations, but there’s evidence in the images, and here, we’ll think a bit about the evidence to try to put the question to rest.
The first thing we note in the before and after pictures floating around on the Internet is the fact that Melissa Gilbert seems to have nothing in the way of crow’s feet or wrinkles on her face. This is, obviously, unusual for someone her age. But, given the way she looked at the before images, it seems viable that skilled application of makeup could achieve the look we see in her skin.
She always had a wonderful face, and it doesn’t look like she’s had very dramatic surgery, if anything at all — rather, it looks like she’s just been taking care of herself. Experts do say, however, that if she’s had any cosmetic help, it’s probably been a Botox injection around her lips or in her forehead, as these are the spots in which one would expect her to have aged more than it appears that she has.
There are also rumors about Melissa Gilbert’s having undergone a nose job (rhinoplasty) operation, known more commonly as a nose-job. A few plastic surgeons have noted that her nose looks narrower at the bridge than it did before, and that they would therefore bet that she has indeed undergone this operation. If so, however, it looks wonderful on her face, and is nothing like the drastically overdone example we see on celebrities like Carrot Top.
Melissa Gilbert Boob Job?
A final common rumor is that Miss Gilbert has had a breast augmentation. It’s obviously impossible to say whether or not this is true, and it’s particularly difficult to determine whether this claim is true given the effect that clothing and natural fluctuations in body shape can have on the size and shape of someone’s breasts. She has had two children, and as such, is sure to have had some natural growth in her chest, and most of the before and after pictures people choose to support their claim that she has had a boob job are from around the time she had her children.
Furthermore, different styles of dresses and different bras can have very visible effects on the way someone’s breasts look. Given that none of the images we have of Melissa Gilbert show any obvious augmentations, it’s unlikely that she has undergone such an operation, although it’s obviously foolish to make the claim one way or another until she makes a comment on the matter herself.
